LAKE CITY, CO., (March 16, 2016): RWEACT is working with Hinsdale County to solicit proposals for an Executive Director Consultant to strategically lead and build capacity efforts for our regional watershed stewardship collective. Five working groups implement projects emphasizing economic recovery, communications, natural resources, hydrology, and emergency managers. Funding for these endeavors have come through two Governor’s Executive Orders and several grants.
RWEACT (Rio Grande Watershed Emergency Action Coordination Team) -- together with the Rio Grande National Forest and funded through the Colorado Water Conservation Board, the Department of Local Affairs, and the Office of Emergency Management – works to promote partnerships and actions that provide for public safety and resiliency of communities and watersheds of the Rio Grande Basin of Colorado.
