Save the date: Our next round of public meetings will be during the last week of September – details of time and locations will come out in September. These meetings will focus on scoping for the proposed action for the forest plan revision. The Notice of Intent to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) for the forest plan revision will be published in the Federal Register prior to the meeting.
The proposed action is being developed based on the assessments and the need to change document. These were developed with public input. Public input during the upcoming scoping period will help develop alternatives and identify issues to be analyzed in the EIS. There will be another round of public meetings seeking input when the draft EIS is published in 2017.
