LAKE CITY, COLO., (July 27, 2017):   Please join Lake City DIRT celebrating the 11th annual Lake City Community Youth Corps at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow at the Ice Cream Social.  This will be held in the Town Park (or DIRT office in case of inclement weather).
The Lake City Community Youth Corps works with local youth to accomplish meaningful service projects in the Town of Lake City, Hinsdale County, and on our surrounding public lands.  The 2017 project is financially sponsored by the Town of Lake City, Hinsdale County, the Lake Fork Community Foundation, Alpine Village, Keep in Touch Spa Salon, and private businesses and sponsorships.    Projects this year include work at the Ski Hill trails and maintenance projects for the Town of Lake City’s parks and recreation program. Participants are Johnny O'Hara, Rhett Moore, Reese Moore, Caroline Thompson, Grace Hearn, Bennett Levine, and TJ Wonnacott.  Special thanks to Ben Hake, Ryan Scroggins, John Paulus, and Caroline Mitchell for on-site assistance.
The Community Corps works in partnership with the Southwest Conservation Corps.
The Ice Cream Social is hosted by San Juan Soda Company.
